About Us

Inspired by the Holy Spirit to live out our Faith

Rekindle The Fire was founded in February 2004 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Fort Wayne, Indiana, when three men—Geoff Cly, Brad Lomont, and Casey O'Boyle—came together following their Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) experience. What began as a simple desire to maintain spiritual momentum and accountability evolved into a structured Catholic men's apostolate dedicated to helping men deepen their faith and become better leaders, husbands, fathers, and sons.

Our first official meeting was held in April 2005 with approximately 30 men in attendance. The response was immediate and powerful—men were hungry for authentic brotherhood, substantive faith formation, and a community where they could be real about their struggles and aspirations. By 2009, Rekindle The Fire had expanded to four additional parishes across northern Indiana: St. Jude and St. Charles in Fort Wayne, St. Mary in Decatur, and St. Pius X in Granger.

Today, more than two decades later, our reach extends throughout the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend with 12 active chapters meeting monthly in parishes across the region. Our flagship chapter at St. Vincent de Paul now exceeds 150 registered members, with an average of 35-45 men gathering for each monthly meeting. This growth reflects not our own efforts, but God's providence and the deep hunger Catholic men have for genuine community rooted in prayer, Scripture, and the teachings of the Church.

Our Mission

We are Catholic men who seek to Rekindle The Fire of Christ's love within us, and become better leaders, friends, husbands, fathers, and sons—the men God calls us to be—through prayer, fellowship, faith, and spiritual service to our family, parish, and community.

What We Do

Rekindle The Fire operates through three primary initiatives that work together to form Catholic men in authentic discipleship:

• Monthly Chapter Meetings

form the backbone of our apostolate. Each chapter gathers once a month in their parish for prayer, faith formation, fellowship, and mutual encouragement. Meetings typically include opening prayer, Scripture reflection or topical presentation, small group discussion, and social time. Chapters provide ongoing accountability and support, creating the kind of brotherhood that sustains men through life's challenges and joys.

• Annual Men's Conference

brings together 1000+ Catholic men, and many more online, for a day of inspiration, worship, and renewal. Featuring nationally recognized Catholic speakers, priests, and laymen, the conference tackles topics like authentic masculinity, spiritual warfare, the Eucharist, marriage and family life, vocations, and living Catholic faith boldly in contemporary culture. The conference includes opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and powerful worship experiences.

• Media and Resources

extend our formation efforts beyond monthly gatherings through videos, podcasts, discussion guides, and online content. We maintain an active YouTube channel featuring conference talks and monthly video series on topics relevant to Catholic men. All content is freely available and designed to be shared in small groups, parishes, or personal study.

Our Impact

Over two decades, Rekindle The Fire has touched thousands of lives across northern Indiana. Men who felt isolated in their faith have found brotherhood and accountability. Fathers struggling to lead their families spiritually have gained confidence and practical tools. Young men discerning vocations have been encouraged and supported. Marriages have been strengthened. Men have returned to the sacraments after years away from the Church.

Our impact extends beyond individual transformation to parish renewal. Many chapter members have gone on to serve in parish leadership, faith formation, RCIA teams, and other ministries. Several men have discerned vocations to the priesthood or diaconate after their involvement with Rekindle The Fire. Countless others have become more active in their parishes, leading men's groups, serving at Mass, and inviting other men to encounter Christ.

The testimonies we hear consistently reflect similar themes: men discovering they're not alone in their struggles, experiencing the power of male friendship rooted in Christ, gaining courage to live their faith publicly, and finding practical support for the universal call to holiness. This is the fruit of men simply showing up, being real with one another, and encouraging each other to become the men God created them to be.

Our Vision

As we look to the future, Rekindle The Fire remains committed to expanding our reach throughout the Diocese and equipping more men to live as faithful disciples. We envision new chapters forming in parishes that currently lack structured men's ministry, providing more men with access to regular fellowship and formation. We're developing enhanced resources for chapter leaders, making it easier for men to step into leadership roles and facilitate fruitful gatherings.

Our conference continues to evolve, bringing in speakers who can address emerging challenges facing Catholic men and families while remaining grounded in timeless truths. We're also expanding our digital presence, making formation content more accessible to men who cannot attend in-person events due to work schedules, family obligations, or geographic distance.

Most importantly, we remain focused on our core mission: helping men encounter Jesus Christ personally, grow in holiness through prayer and the sacraments, and live their vocations with courage and joy. Whether a man is just beginning to explore Catholic faith or has walked with Christ for decades, Rekindle The Fire offers a place to belong, grow, and serve. We invite every Catholic man in our Diocese to join us on this journey of transformation and brotherhood.
